Kaizen method, guide to improve your sales?
There came a day when real estate agents made the decision to change the rules of the game, they had decided to level up and become the most professional in the sector and that’s when they understood that intelligence should play an important role in this task. After being exhausted and frustrated from so many mistakes that led to them not reaching their goals. So in a moment of heightened optimism they made a toast with invisible drinks because new times were yet to come. So much so that one of them wielded the term out loud: kaizen method and all the others listened with attention and devotion.
What is Kaizen method?
The term comes from the Japanese “ Kai ” and “ Zen ”; and refers to continuous, gradual and orderly change and improvement.
The basis of the kaizen method is the premise that you do not insist on seeking perfection. It doesn’t exist, it’s unattainable, and wishing for it would only lead to the same frustration as the Egyptian bounty hunters when they tried to find proof that the gods cared for them.
The purpose of the kaizen method is to stop the achievement of goals and results in a progressive and continuous way, that is, without interruptions. In its course, the person removes the waste of the production system that interrupts its purpose. This continuous learning process is based on constant professional and personal improvement on a daily basis, to be better every night when we go to bed. This method is not suitable for those people who grew up with American cinema in which 3-minute training sections were shown that led the protagonist to be the champion, it is embedded in what they know that sweat and effort have their reward.
Making time a strategic resource is the first step to improving your performance. And it is that this factor is usually the most scarce in organizations, and also the most wasted. Irrecoverable and critical, intangible time has no place in the balance sheets, however, because of its gratuitousness it is not less valuable than other assets.
How to apply the kaizen method to my work as a real estate agent?
Kaizen was a Japanese scholar dedicated to the world of organization and professional work. In this way, based on my own experiences and after demonstrating its efficiency, I establish its own method in the most diverse companies.
The kaizen method is based on two ideas:
- Raise quality standards
- Continuous improvement
Raise quality standards
As in the previous section it was possible for us to take the help of a colleague by the hand, this time loneliness is a fundamental and essential element in the task.
When the Kaizen method wields the idea of raising quality standards, it refers to the fact that we are the only ones who have the ability to demand a little more of ourselves every day. It states that the process to achieve continuous improvement begins at this point.
Continuous improvement: the first leg of the Kaizen method
It seems a truism, but it is an area that we have to keep up every day. Only by being aware that we seek this continuous improvement will we be able to achieve the proposed objectives.
The Kaizen method advocates conscious and directed learning. That we are able to determine what objectives we have on the map and follow the breadcrumbs that we place ourselves to reach the loaf of bread. Of course, without ever ruling out the idea of others rocking us along the way.
¨A point that is also important is knowing how to maximize your time, and thus be able to make the most of this method.¨
How to maximize your time with the kaizen method.
To avoid wasting your time it is necessary to use it with extreme caution and in the most effective way. Its irrecoverable nature requires that it be used right the first time. For them, it is advisable to spend a few minutes organizing time to improve its efficient use during the rest of the day.
Chaos leads to frustration, loss or abandonment of forgotten documents in a physical or digital corner. In this way, part of the production process stagnates and remains indefinitely standby, thus preventing the daily progress that kaizen needs.
3: eliminate bottlenecks.
Production processes slow down due to queues, generated as a result of the scarcity of resources. To solve this problem, it is necessary to observe in which situations it occurs and to implement the autonomy of workers through labor flexibility and teleworking.
